Habitat for Humanity relies heavily on volunteers to build homes. We are looking for someone who can help us recruit and coordinate those volunteers. Our volunteers come as individuals and in groups. They may come for an hour, a day, a few days at a time. They include the Habitat homeowners, their family and friends, community supporters, church groups, social clubs and other groups from nearby and further afield. We have been building homes in Teller County for 15 years, all with volunteer labor. It has taken tens of thousands of hours to do this. In the Phase II at Las Casas alone we logged nearly 6,000 volunteer hours!

As we get ready for the new build in Cripple Creek we will need a robust volunteer base and someone to help us coordinate all this energy. Specifically we are looking for someone who could commit eight hours a week to be our Volunteer Coordinator. The hours would be flexible. Please call us at 719-687-4447 if you are interested. Basic Function: The volunteer coordinator provides for the recruiting, retention and recognition of volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Teller County. The position is eight hours per week, working from the Teller Habitat office on a volunteer basis. Hours are flexible.
