Your vehicle donation can help our local affiliate build to rehabilitate a home with a family, giving them hope of a better life! Donated vehicles are sold or recycled to help Habitat for Humanity build and rehabilitate houses in partnership with families in our community. Current Projects

7 town homes in Woodland Park

Las Casas at Forest Edge by Habitat  project is close to schools and the town center. The Las Casas project is going strong. The groundbreaking was held on May 21st and our first family is Gene and Riley Austin.

We completed this fall (2009) a home in Sherwood Forest for a family of 6. The home was green-built using ICF which is very energy efficient. This was the first home built in Teller County by Habitat that includes a one car garage. The family is happy in their new home and looking forward to partnering with Habitat to see that other families receive the opportunity to have a home with a no profit mortgage mortgage.

Our Cripple Creek Project has 3 homes completed and another one to the point of “family finish.”  The family dedication was held Dec 19th and the family moved in that day. They are settled nicely and are very excited to have their own home. The final phase of the project, the Victorian-style duplex, will be built and the project completed in 2011.
