Family Selection

Habitat for Humanity uses an extensive screening and application process to select deserving Partner Families.  To be eligible to purchase a Habitat house, families must meet the following threshold requirements and successfully complete a 3-phase selection process.

H     Currently employed earning between $23,400 to $42,600

H     Currently living in substandard, inadequate housing

H     Unable to purchase a home through conventional means

H     Teller County resident for one year or more; legal US resident

H     Willing to complete 300-400 hours of “sweat equity”

H     Willing to partner with Habitat to further the mission and objectives
